23rd & Cherry Fellowship Hall
Through the support of a Planning Grant from the State of Washington, Cherry Hall engaged RRA Architecture to partner in developing a program, preliminary design, budget, and schedule for a new facility. Following initial meetings with the full Board of Directors, a six-member Building Committee was established to participate in biweekly design review meetings with RRA to provide feedback and detailed direction on the future, sustainable needs of the Fellowship.
A primary goal of the proposed project is to socially engage the neighborhood, specifically the adjacent streets. The new facility is slated to include two 60-person meeting rooms, a kitchen, “living room”, and café on the first floor. And on the second floor, offices, smaller meeting rooms, a teen area/activity room, and an outdoor terrace. Site parking is retained via an efficient one-way driveway.
