Wildwood Spirits
Our team collaborated with the owners of Wildwood Spirits to convert a former industrial storage building into a distillery, tasting room, and cocktail bar in the Ballard neighborhood of Seattle. This is Wildwood’s second distillery and was designed specifically for the distillation of their award-winning Dark Door bourbon. The simple and elegant tasting room has notes of warm wood on the ceiling, a backlit product display, and a copper-topped bar that echoes the materiality of the copper stills beyond. The tasting room also has a walk-up exterior window and outside bar seating. The production space has a highly-efficient organization which includes the stills, fermentation vessels, boiler, chiller, mill, and barrel storage. A large window added to the east side of the building to give passersby a glimpse of the beautiful Carl stills imported from Germany.
